BOXER Danny Green has issued a surprise challenge to Anthony Mundine and hinted at Olympic aspirations – what is going on?
The veteran’s boxing future is in doubt after a back injury forced him to cancel his scheduled fight against Germany’s Konni Konrad in Melbourne on December 2.
Green, 42, injured his lower back during training over the weekend and his medical team ruled him out of what would have been his second fight after a three-year lay-off, with arch rival Anthony Mundine his eventual target.
So with a battle in the ring out of the question it seemed plausible when Green issued a different kind of challenge to Mundine via his Twitter sccount
